Each project is unique and requires all my attention to deliver you a product you’re guaranteed to love. As a matter of fact, if you don’t love it, you don’t pay. That being said, I’m happy to make revisions to the music and/or lyrics (if applicable) until you’re satisfied.
Pricing:
Being that this is a full-stop shop, I’m going to put my time, energy and heart into your song. With some exceptions, the range is generally between $100 and $500+ per song, usually averaging out at around $250. Whether the song will have lyrics or not, the length of the song, how much instrumentation you’d like are among the determinants of pricing.
Copyright:
I’ll be happy to sell you the copyrights to the project I do for you. This will only be necessary if you’ll be using it in a public space (including online) that will be seen by several people in an attempt for you and/or your business/organization to make money. In a nutshell: gift songs usually don’t need to worry about copyright, while business songs usually do.
Length of the Song:
I’ve done 10-second jingle spots for podcast branding and I’ve done 6-minute long wedding songs. Of course, the longer the song, the more it will cost. I’d recommend usually:
staying around the 3 minute mark if it’s a gift.
staying around :20 or :30 if it’s a podcast/video jingle
having me create loopable music for you if it’s background music.
Delivery Timeframe:
I’ll be real with you. Since the pandemic hit, all my gigs have been cancelled. Good news for you is that this gives me time focus on your song. As I’m typing this, I’m offering 5-day delivery with no additional rush fees and will do my best to deliver even quicker.

Writing and Recording Parody/Tribute Versions of Existing Songs:
I can do this for you as long as you won’t be using it to make money, which could get us both in trouble. I usually prefer composing original music (and lyrics, if applicable) for you, anyway.
Setting your lyrics/poetry to music:

Instruments…Vibe…Style…Genre…Mood?:
The instruments, vibe, style, mood and genre all go together in creating the musical part of the song, which usually should blend with the lyrics (if applicable) unless you wan’t a juxtaposition between the music, mood and lyrics.
My default style is acoustic guitar singer-songwriter/folk using the acoustic guitar as my main instrument. However, I’ve done songs for clients ranging from blues to rock to electronic to heavy metal to country. That being said, my acoustic style is my home base, safe place.
